The money didn’t do him any favors with patience from fans and I’m sure he’s dinged up pretty bad. Here’s hoping it all comes together for him. Wish it was here.

With his current performance, does KD get another contract? Is he measurably better than a backup at the dollar he commands. If nothing improves, does he come back for less? Do we let him go elsewhere? How does this work?

Aww-schucks ism is a badge of honor in Blacksburg. It's always been there to counter any thing with swag, money, or the big time. Its kept us content with Stiney, the ACC, it hired Fuente, and it keeps the program from ever being more than a (former) regional player. It prevails as a regional counter-balance to the big scary other parts of the state (nova, tidewater). Even the town of Blacksburg refuses to grow or progress past about 1995. It's who we are. I sincerely don’t know the answer. Is Sands the kind of guy to be open to keep VT innovating in athletics or is the current culture more academic/traditional? As someone far from Blacksburg, I don’t know what the climate is like these days.

A lot of parallels to what we’re enduring up in Blacksburg….. Academic president, doing it with less with legacy coach, poor branding and separate logos…. Loss of focus

Jamie Chadwell would have had this team in a better position to win. You know, a guy who’s not learning on the job as the program turns into Duke from 20 years ago. There’s no coaching, no recruiting, and no fire. This is a school unwilling to make the choices to be a football school. This is the new status quo, we’re going to be here for a decade.

I feel like nobody other than Dax on this team gets pissed about losing. Somebody get angry, show a pulse. This team just looks asleep, from the top on down. I get that we lack skill, but somebody fight.

We have his old coach and immediate playing time. We should be pursuing him rabidly.
