Wait, does your cousin live in the Grove? This is my street (about 15

This was some BS today. 1 and 9 across actually have 4 boxes but
there is a “gap” in the middle that isn’t really there, so it looks like only 3 boxes.

Short answer is (surprise) $$$.
I used to work for a semiconductor manufacturer in the US. We were kicking butt when we opened. We won semiconductor of the year in 1999. By the mid-2000's, we were still absolutely crushing it (I think we were top 3 in market share), however it didn't matter how many chips we made or how good they were. Asian companies paid their workers so much less compared to us. We started losing money on every chip we sold. Then, around 2008 the recession hit and that was it. Within a couple months, they announced they were closing our facility. Can't argue with money.
Also, we had become a very automated company so the headcount was lower, but it still takes plenty of folks to maintain the equipment, engineers to continuously improve the processes, and IT support (not just helpdesk). All of those people get paid a lot more than worker bees on the floor.

It does. I normally go to the New York Times games page and select them
one at a time. The Sports Connection Beta disappeared from that page sometime over the weekend. I can Google it directly. I just thought since they no longer listed it, the Beta may have ended. All is good. I just have to come at it from another way. No biggie. Thanks.

Found a new state tax last night. My car registration is due for renewal
in July, so I went to renew it. At the payment screen, the total is some obscene amount. I check the fine print and there is a $120 road use tax (might not be the exact name). After some quick research, I found that both electric and hybrid vehicles are now being charged a special tax since they don’t use as much gas (the state used to get lots of tax money from gas). Death and taxes man!
