Hey Hokies! Unbeknownst to most there is a Twitter Football League and VT is undefeated this year, 18-0. We are in the National Semifinals. so we can have a shot at Ryan Day. I quit everything when we lost to Vanderbilt. Whole season up in smoke due to idiocy. Then we lost to Rutgers bc one play shamed our coaching staff into oblivion. Still I made the Miami game in south FL bc I still had a thread of hope. We lose bc we gave the other team 25 seconds to come down and hit a field goal at the end of the first half. Yet we do not have the stones to try and go 40 yards in 30 seconds with 3 timeouts ourselves to steal a game away??? Schlee played great. I'm not upset if he starts the rest of the year. He got out of some plays that Drones wouldn't have but then Drones is better at throwing the ball away to avoid a sack. I'm with you. Don't want to lose but if the tailspin happens, let's just pray the NFL at least takes some of these guys on the team as they deserve a shot at next level despite team records. I mean what do you say to recruits "Ya'll have to play so well that I don't have to make decisions and then we can win football games..." Sounds like the right amount of nonsense that we have dealt with for years.

that there is a weight assigned to location of school versus location of colleges recruiting. Closest to Columbia, we are second closest and NC state is third closest but there is probably also a factor of 0 assigned if outside of 200 miles or 150 miles, something like that. Rutherfordton is near Asheville so just down 77 to Columbia and up 77 to VT. Focus on defense and and people that can finish at the rim. Build from there.

I had wrestling and men’s and women’s bball going. It was the most challenging thing I’ve done in a while. Lol

I wouldn’t expect Kenny to change the offense to put Rose in against UVA. There will be a different set using Rose at center today to play to her strengths. I imagine something similar to what MN would have run with her except stretching the spacing more. She will go block to block with OliviA screening high and having Rose doing baseline screens for King and Ekh swinging back and forth across the baseline for corner three opportunities. Look for Georgia to drive and dish of a layup move more so than usual.

It's just sad that no one will do anything about it.

I felt like we made a bad decision taking Lynn Kidd out when were down 7. I like Poteat and would have preferred he played at the 4 with Kidd in the game at that point. The issue was height during that crucial stretch. I believe I remember a block at the rim on Poteat and a rebound where the Syracuse guy was just a touch higher and snagged a rebound just before it would have landed in Poteat's hands for an offensive board. It also seemed as if the defense collapsed when Kidd went out. Bad move on a sub for the sake of just subbing.

a top team year in and year out due to recruiting. They should be playing like Oak Hill. Oak Hill is a high school not a prep school and they do not play in the VA leagues. Neither should John Marshall but I don't really care one way or the other.

Kitley missed half her shots. This is basketball. If Wetzel has the same shot a minute later she probably makes it. What I saw about this game was lack of defense in critical situations. The beginning of the game when we were getting the doors blown off of us, should have been a timeout just to sub and chat. We waited for the TV timeout when they had already scored 23 points. You can't let the other team get away from you in a big game. I seem to remember Coach K calling timeouts after the first or second possession to settle those Duke teams that I couldn't stand. We have to do a better job of game management and analyzing stats in game. Someone should be telling Coach Brooks that we are plus 5 with this group on the floor and minus 10 with this group, IMO and maybe they do, I don't know.

back in the portal for a redo? We need to figure ourselves out bc this team shows no energy, has pitiful decision making, and have glue on their shoes. Horrible showing. Very disappointing to get a free afternoon and this is what I get to watch.

It was Hanson that keeps getting beat. I haven’t had the mental toughness this year to go back and watch the losses to verify that though.

make sense for the 7 schools to pony up a single exit fee and bribe another ACC school to break away with the payment and promise of inclusion if a new conference were formed (and left out in the cold if the other 7 find a home in the mega conferences)? Maybe I'm just breaking laws or something here
