lol what do you mean excuse? There are plenty of transfers still in the
Portal, and more can enter until May 1st. I know everyone wants this to happen quickly, but itβs still relatively early with the portal. I think weβll get some commitments in the next few weeks, Iβm sure the staff is working hard to get some in the boat. Also imo the coaches did a really good job with keeping the 6 players we have (who are all very talented), keeping Hazelton, and getting Wells to commit.

The better replacement for Blue would be Kayl Peterson, 6β0 wing ranked
67th in the 2024 class, who decommitted from Marquette last week shortly after the hire was announced. I wasnβt overly impressed from what Iβve seen from Wilson, Iβd have her as a borderline take, VT already has 3 young talented PGs/CGs in the program, so itβs not a position of need. Either way Iβd be ok with it, Duffy will go after and take those that she believes fit on the roster.

I get the lack of depth concern but the reason only 6 players played at the
end of the season was because those 6 were all great players. I don't think brooks wanted only 6 reliable players at the end of the season, its just how it panned out, and when you have a really strong core there can be a drop off. Especially since VT is still building its brand. I think VT will have better depth this upcoming season with 7 that I think everyone is pretty comfortable with and 4 4 stars. I think at least 2 of those 4 stars will be ready to give minutes, so I'm thinking we'll have at least 9 that we can rely on playing, with most likely a core 7 and 1 or 2 additional players giving limited minutes when needed. I also don't understand what you mean by "win in the long term" cause VT made it to the Final Four and won an ACC Championship with 6/7 players.

14th was before we got all 3 transfers, I would be very surprised if we
aren't preseason top 10 given who we are bring back and bringing in.

We aren't looking up at others lol, we went to the Final 4 and will be a
preseason top 10 team. The reason why we didn't get any "big time" transfers was cause we have Kitley and Amoore, 2 of the best players in the country. Oh and we have 4 4 star recruits coming in and 2 top 30 transfers according to both ESPN and 247, and a 3rd that started for Wake Forest and should be very good off the bench.

I think depth is one of the main reasons why we might actually be better
inside this year, or at least make up for the loss of Aluma. This season, our backup bigs are Kidd, Poteat, and Camden, in comparison to only having N'guessan as a legitimate option last season (Ojiako only played 6 MPG in 20 games and never made a significant impact). We really didn't have someone last season that could sub in for Aluma and guard a true center (and Aluma himself even struggled with the top centers in the league). This year we have Poteat, who seems to be a good defender inside, and also Kidd who is 6'10" and seems to at least have the physical ability to do so. We have options, different types of bigs, which we did not have last season. Also while Basile won't replace Aluma, he is a better shooter than Aluma and seems to be a great offensive player. The big question with him is can he defend ACC bigs. Also, I think Mutts has improved and is in for a big year. He looked really good last night.

Richmond Times Dispatch posted an article this morning saying we won 57-55
So Iβm gonna choose to believe that and not the random UR fan π.
