The Big 12's strength is its weakness.

No one wants to poach the Big 12 teams. They're all relatively at the same level between the G5 and the middle of the P5. No one school provides more value overall or more net value to any other conference. It is the individual weakness of each Big 12 team that makes it most likely to be the most stable over the near and medium term.

Constant reports like these will just fuel the dissolution of the PAC-12

The four corners schools in that conference will head to the Big 12 sooner than expected if there's an inevitable sense that the Big 10 is going to take some of the inventory eventually. Plus, the remaining PAC 10 schools are going to end up with less than $30 million a year in TV rights money. The four corners schools can do better in the Big 12 than that. I could see the PAC 12 imploding in less than a year.
