1 of 2 things typically has to happen to win a natty in any college sport
1). You have to organically recruit / develop talent that is superior to your challengers. To support this talent advantage the coaching must at the very least not be an impediment and in some cases must overachieve with the talent to win a natty.
2). You must hire an Alpha Dog coach who can change the culture, booster support and overall trajectory in order for the environment outlined in number 1 to occur.
VT has not accomplished either........is it possible.........without an Alpha Coach-----Doubtful!

Big win today and we finish strong, go to tourney, and Mike Young gets a bigger commitment from VT moving forward
