Newbie question - does riding time carry over if the match goes to SV?

No. Cautions and stalls do, though.

Actually it kind of does.
Well not technically SV but in after rideouts the score is still tied than RT is the tiebreaker.

The RT used in the tiebreaker is based on the action in the 2nd & 3rd
periods of the "overtime" tho...not from any RT established in the first 3 regulation periods. So the RT does not carry over vis a vis the way I think was asked in the OP. It's a hard thing to write/explain to newbies, separating the 2....
