On how this year went. Not comparing it to the years when Coach Dresser resurrected the program. He was my grad assistant back in the early 90s and will always acknowledge that he saved the program. As for this year, I do not think there is a wrestler or coach in the program who would give this an 8/10. I think more would have 4/10 than 8/10. Based off of the roster assembled at the beginning of the season, what/who really achieved any goal they had??? I am guessing ACC tournament champs and that is it. I would think the following would have been realistic goals for each: Team: ACC Dual meet and Tournament Champs. 6AA, as well as Podium finish in Philly Individual: 125- National finalist 133- Top 4 141- AA 149- champion 157- AA 165- qualify and win a match 174- AA 184- AA 197- AA 285- AA Only 165 probably met his goal. We’re 125 and 149 very close, absolutely!! I love the program and am so proud to be a wrestling alum. However, this year had to be a huge disappointment for those currently in the program.
