Agree. Guys that talented just don't suddenly lose it all overnight. There

is some long term planning that needs to occur here in order to allow TJ to right his ship. Once he gets past the physical issues that are affecting him now, he'll be able to do that. Knee injuries are tricky things, especially MCLs where surgery isn't used to fix unless there is other damage to the knee in which case since you're already in there, why not. Most doctors rely on the muscle tissue to hold everything in place until the MCL magically heals itself ... which I find fascinating. A drawback, in my opinion, is that even when it is finally healed, it takes even longer to fully trust that it is healed. My son just went through this exact thing after fully tearing his mcl in game 1 of this past football season. By the time he was cleared to practice and play, he said he felt good, but he just couldn't fully trust things mentally. Personally, I couldn't reconcile things in my head that fully torn ligament fixed itself. fortunately for him, the coaches want to maximize his eligibility so they made the decision to shut him down to preserve the medical redshirt.I could hear the relief in his voice on the phone after that meeting. Admittedly, I was relieved as well. TJ needs time and the coaching staff will give him the time that he needs. TJ and the staff gave it the old college try but clearly it isn't working right now so they're reevaluating things looking to maintain his eligibility.
