I doubt it's really symptomatic of the PSU AD

Sure, they had Sandusky, but that's pretty different from the typical player sexual assault allegations. VT has its own list. Pretty much every school does. Probably more symptomatic of an overall culture that puts these kids on a pedestal than what any specific school does or doesn't do.
