Approximately 3% of athletes make it to the college level. Approximately 1% of athletes make it to play at the D1 level. Many of the people on this board fall in to the 0% of athletes that make it to play at the college level or raise or train the 1-3%. Just a reminder that fans don’t know what each player’s role is. Many times fans have a hard time determining if a players is engaging in their role effectively/ineffectively. Fans interpret things one way, but many times coaches and players have different perspectives and expectations. AND guess what… they aren’t always perfect. They make mistakes that are sometimes tracked by numbers while sometimes a mistake goes undocumented. They are playing off adrenaline. There is no time to stop and think. They just have to read and react while 9 other players are reading and reacting simultaneously in practically the same space.
