The way I see it...
It has taken this long for UK to get the NIL money lined up for those players that Brooks wants. Once Georgia hit the portal, it means the floodgates are now open. Strack followed GA. Not sure whose next, but I'm guessing he has gone hard after Blue and Silva.

This is all starting to seem like it something personal going on here.
He is napalming the bridge and the 40 miles before and after it.

He had a path to sustained excellence at VT with a great recruiting class coming in and fans that cared about WBB. VT could have matched his salary. P2 is less of a barrier in basketball - just ask UConn and Gonzaga.

Are there any rules that prohibit him from texting his former players?
You know he's still in those group chats with Georgia and others that are still on the team.

No rules but professional advice for college recruiters
Recruit the family and student athlete even if the player commits and even signs.. maintain that relationship into their current assignment. Maintain contacts, and if they change their mind, it might be a place back here.
This is completely different than most fans are trained on....best retainer, great outreach on initial recruiting, maintain that consistent attitude, have a great amazing environment at the school and have a charismatic and exciting coach, and win. and a competitive nil program
