Academics draw for Mackie makes sense. From interviews with her she seems

very serious about getting into the career field she really wants. I cannot remember what it is, but I think it is a medical field. Maybe anesthesiologist? I cannot remember. VT does not have the best school for medical fields. She may be able to play ball for a place with a top program in her chosen academic field..... Also, with a couple of years of college under her belt she has finished all her foundation general ed courses - this would be the time to get into an academic program focused on her career of choice.
