Does anyone else find it strange that no coach or pitching coach ever came
out to consult with the Akron pitcher when the wheels were obviously coming off her cart? I mean not even a little visit so she could get a breather??

I am not surprised that no change was made. He said in the post-game
That he did not think of it, that she was the best chance to get the win. I think they had already came out once. If they came out again, they had to remove her

Pretty pathetic.

Told my wife same thing. Felt bad for her. Threw 252 pitches today.

Agreed. That pitcher gave all she had, and simply ran out of gas...
With no support behind her.

I remember one time they came out...
cause I thought they were going to pull her.

They came out once. They would not come out again unless to pull

But wasn’t that pretty early on? I mean once the score had really
tightened up….like maybe 6-4….it seemed to me that she was simply left to do what she could.

Coaches can only go to the mound once per pitcher per inning.
If they went out once earlier in the 7th, they'd have to pull the pitcher on the second visit.

True. Also noticed they didn’t have the watch technology. She pitched
At a fast pace. Not sure who was calling pitches for them.

She sped up during the 7th inning
Frustrated, and a coach or player should have slowed her down

She sped up with every batter. Certainly needed a reset

Seemed strange to leave her on that island
