Gotta say - If I were an ump, a catcher who tries to frame every single
pitch would irritate the ever livin' hell out of me. You would get zero borderline calls. None.

If catchers want the front corner called, don't frame the back corner.

From a fan and observer perspective, i want the umpires to get it right and not be “fooled”, especially those with experience who can clearly see a frame job.

If an ump is fooled by someone moving the ball into the strike zone, the ump is weak

not a strike. So it really should backfire against the catcher. But if the ump calls the pitch a strike because the catcher jerked the mit into the strike zone then the ump is incompetent.

carries the mitt to the zone but the lateral movement of 8-12 inches is just ridiculous.
