I bartended my way through VT. I make a mean mint julep. Better than the watered down ones you'd buy there

of mint leaves in when the syrup is ready...cover, then steep ..when the syrup is room temp you have perfect mint syrup.
Then one part mint syrup, 2 parts Woodford, over crushed ice in a mint rubbed glass = perfection...

I muddle fresh mint leaves with simple syrup, add bourbon, crushed ice and when the glass frosts, i add a little more ice and a swig of fresh mint fir garnish
