What i assume are both dugouts in this DePaul at ND game are irritating
8-7, DePaul, going to B7. Was 8-1 in B6. EDIT: I think it's mainly ND. ** Edited by TomTurkey at 4/29/2026, 8:30:54 PM

I honestly prefer an actively involved dugout as opposed to a passive . .
. . . one. I think it's another thing that differentiates softball from its boring cousin college baseball. That said there are limits to the gimmickry that I think should occur.

I am neutral on this subject, don't mind the loud choreographed ones.

VT women offer oral support but not the barnyard din of many teams

Penn St. At Salem was ridiculous. They were actually choreographed

That is very common.

Yep. Nothing unique about that. Some here haven't seen to many travel . .
. . . ball tournaments ;)

Exactly. And everyone is involved in the game in some fashion
Many have specific assignments like watching for runners leaving early. I'm glad they don't act like a bunch of sixth graders.

Agree completely, Chip. I like chatter but also players
concentrating on small details that could give us an advantage. Many got really good at it. When I coached, I had a back-up catcher that could steal pitch signs regularly. Smart kid that contributed to many wins. Some players excelled at pitchers tipping pitches, outfield throwing mechanics that let us know who we could advance a base on, hitter's mechanics, etc. There's a lot more going on that meets the eyes and ears.

UCLA’s dugout is UNBEARABLE
Great talent but they’re beyond annoying ** Edited by hokiepro at 4/29/2026, 8:31:26 PM

That pun is as bad as laphroaig's pun at Salem. JMU got runners on 1st and
3rd and he screamed out, The Dukes are on the Pond. I was so embarrassed I changed seats so no one would know I was sitting with him.
