Today's ACC tournament live stats page
To WIll's point from the other day: our game still showing "TBD Duke" even though the results have been known for more than 10 hrs. And also, yesterday's page showed "VA vs VTEC" VTEC?!?!? Idiots

Guess everyone took the day off……😁
Or maybe they are just “off” most of the time……

Or, they don't pay overtime. They just waited until they got
into work today.

Are the Hoos running Live Stats, etc.?
It'll suddenly go blank for count as the tech(?) pulls the levers. I hold my breath as to what happened; hit, walk, HBP, SO??? ** Edited by TomTurkey at 5/8/2026, 11:41:24 AM

Don’t believe so.
What you describe happens sometimes when we play other teams and sometimes with baseball as well.

The results are literally 2 line items above the stupid TBD listing

NSIR, but using your link, it would seem that the webpage is
outsourced to StatBroadcast/Radiak. In short, apparently, the ACC has outsourced this (perfectly good idea) function. But, apparently, much like VT, the ACC doesn't provide proper oversight and compel the contractor to perform. Just sayin'.

I had outsourced companies that worked for me for the last 15 years of my
Career. Their mistake was my mistake. It’s not on the outsourcer (it is but it isn’t). Externally it was on me. Internally it’s on them. Honestly. I assume this TSL stack upgrade mess is outsourced. To us, it’s on TSL. Similar it’s on the ACC. Not on the outsourcer.

Apropos to pretty much everything ACC related ...

Agreed. A lot of people on here think I'm anti-outsourcing, but I'm not.
It's a very appropriate method to control costs, and increase the workload without needing the overhead of increasing the size of staff. Government does it all the time. That being said, it's only effective if there is appropriate oversight and consequences for performance shortcomings. VT and the ACC in general does provide the oversight, and then there are no consequences of for performance failure.

When you are dealing with dingbats I’m surprised if they know what
day it is. On second thought, maybe they don’t…….
