We now have an auction match in place for autographed balls and uniforms
How about those cool looking uniforms that the ladies wore last night????
And they got even better looking when Nora blasted that walk-off bomb!
We have a generous donor who told me yesterday that they will match any player autographed ball that goes for $100 or more and any player uniform that hits $150 or more.
We currently have four balls that fit that category but there are several more that can get there before the auction starts closing Monday at 7:00. Similar things with the uniforms.
So...as we told people at the preview yesterday: "Bid high and bid often."
And a HUGE thank you those that helped with the auction preview set up yesterday and those that helped us scramble to keep things dry when the rain shower came through. YOU ROCK!!!!!

I have $100 bids on Mazz & Castine balls, so feel free to bump them up to that total. (Also feel free to out-bid me on them. I'll go ahead and bump some others up if that's the case.)

Is going to encourage the final closing price of the signed balls and jerseys to be driven up quite a bit. But hey, that's the whole point right?
For the last two years I've permitted us to be outbid on my daughter's preferred item.
Not gonna happen this year. Am locked in.
(but hopefully we're not driven up too terribly much still have VT tuition bills to pay :)

budget. Then I tell Chip that the ladies can keep them, or hand them out to kids at the games, though I think the auction closes after the last home game this year.
One thing I still have is the 100th team home run ball from 2 years ago, signed by McMillan. If anybody knows if Pete or Cori want that for their collection, I'll gladly bring it the next time I'm in Blacksburg.

I know most of us realize there is A LOT of time and effort that Chip and Bonnie put into this auction, but I don't think any os realize HOW MUCH time and effort! Chip, I can only imagine the added stress on Friday when the rain started to fall and you had to scramble to keep things dry! Once again, you and Bonnie are the walking definition of "Ut Prosim"!!!! Thank you both for your selflessness!

Bonnie is truly the unsung hero. Yesterday, she spent two hours out in the sun with me making sure all the lots were numbered appropriately.
She is amazing.
