I forgot that UNC changed pitchers during Michelle's grand slam
The bases were loaded and Parrish went to 2-0 on Michelle and UNC brough in Kendall Frost. "UNC "not taking any chances" said the announcer. She did get two strikes on Michelle and then "BOOM." Michelle commented on it after the game: "They switched pitchers mid at-bat. That's a little odd." Perhaps "odd" but very, very sweet.

Yeah, she had this big motion and follow through …
So she was throwing harder or maybe it just looked like she was throwing harder… so that might have straightened out the pitch and I was wondering whether Michelle had time to adjust and take advantage of that. Yeah, I guess she adjusted quite nicely.

It appeared Michelle’s swing was a slow swing protecting
the plate but trying to get the ball in the air for a sac fly. Grand slams are better than sac flies.

I think all of Chatfield's HR were on pitches on the outer 3rd or even . .
. . . off the plate. Swings didn't appears that quick but the key was the barrel arrived on-time and, most importantly, she had full arm extension at contact. It's a graphic example of why pitchers need to own and use the inner third. Nothing more dangerous than a power hitter sitting on pitches on the outer third.

Megan's entire pitching staff is pretty 'forgettable'. Frost may her . . .
. . . best but she's really an average #2 ACC at best.
