Clemson's P Maness has 457 IP's in her career. She's surrendered . .
21 HR's. That's one HR for every 22 IP's. The Hokies had 14 GO's tonight. She can pitch for me all day long.

Our knees but we didn’t
Last night’s TIGHT zone favored the patient team that had several “hitters” who were satisfied with walks. Not sure we have anyone satisfied with walks besides Anni and maybe Kylie.
We pressed at the plate as the game went on and we got frustrated trying for the big hit. Wind hurt Michelle’s drive to RC warning track as it was blowing in from RC across toward 3B

VT has a hitting coach he certainly was not at the ball park tonight.

I hope they throw her again. Our ladies generally do very well when they get a 2nd chance against someone. We don’t need home runs. We need some gappers like Jordan had and some worm burners to get through the infield. Clemson D was amazing tonight. Frankly, I think a few of those plays were lucky. If I were them, I wouldn’t count on Lady Luck being on their side all weekend.

. . . had the week to get ready for her. There was no question she was going to pitch tonight and no question where she was going to throw the ball.

. . . there's no reason that can't change the next time out.
