If you're ranking the teams as a whole, you should take that into account, so it's not entirely unreasonable to imagine the games might've been very different if all the players were available and rank accordingly.

The pitchers we faced were not their top hurlers, although VT had a similar situation the week before versus Charlotte when the flu bug hit the team.
