@VTChip Two questions. Weren't you impressed by the crowd? With
that big crowd, can you explain the logic for the venue? It was less than ideal for watching softball; blocked views, double fences etc. Was it to be convenient for all of the younger players that played in the park that day?
Glad you made it home safe; that storm was a zinger.

I don't think VT has played in the Richmond area in a long time so there wasn't necessarily a venue that we had previously used.
This was the final day of the Starz Gold travel ball tournament and they are an excellent travel ball organization. Many of their alum have played at VT (Emma Lemley and Kylie Aldridge, for example). There were also a number of quality travel ball teams playing in the tournament, so it was an excellent opportunity to showcase VT - which can certainly pay big dividends down the road.
That particular field apparently doubles as a baseball field - thus the double fence.
Those are just thoughts off the top of my head.

Saturday. It was first class. There is a lot of money in Loudoun and money is actually printed there.

"taken out of the game". Picky batters taking good strikes waiting for the perfect pitch are the problem. You have a club in your hands, it's ok to attack a strike.
