3 5 inning run rules and 1 6 inning run rule. That's a pretty torrid pace for an opening weekend, even allowing for the level of competition, when the prospect of knocking the rust off in live game situations is considered along with acclimating newcomers. Hopefully, they finish tomorrow off in strong fashion as well.

Yes the level of competition is suspect, but you still have to throw and catch and hit the ball

up and down the roster in a situation like this weekend is the payoff I think. Coach will get a better read down the line soon enough against tougher competition but, good for the ladies, especially the newcomers and the new starters, to get their legs under them. Will Emma L. get the call tomorrow or does CPD go another route? The innings over the first two days are pretty evenly distributed.
