Seems like a strange league (different point system, teams re-drafted each week).
Is it guaranteed that she will play in this league? How does this compare to a more traditional thing like the Women’s Professional Fastpitch league?

WPF has just two teams, and not necessarily a conflict with AU (players could do both). Despite the historic success of USSSA Pride, LC has her work cut out for her in trying to make WPF competitive.
Players seem to like a player-run league like AU. I sort of like the way they have put fun back into the game with things like weekly draft (reminds me of grade-school captains picking for kickball).
Keely will be awesome and I would certainly think that she will play AU.

They even did the draft live to help with exposure.
Did the other professional league even play last year?
Many college players that want to play professionally do so overseas so at least she has a chance here IF she wants to play.

So not a guarantee she plays, but this probably means if she wants to she can.
Pretty sure AU was the only game in town last year. I think the NPF went under a couple years ago, or closed shop during the pandemic.
