Our tailgate went well. Had 12 people, lots of food (some that wasn't even opened). The mesh of our tailgate next to the parents tailgate went extremely well. Lots of crossover of folks and conversations. Special thanks to our guest of honor Cori McMillan who is truly appreciative of the love and praise from the fans, gracious is a good word. She handles herself beautifully in that type of situation. Those parents really know how to tailgate and they weren't really even at full attendance. TV, grills, griddles, food everywhere and all of it good whether store bought or home made. The highlight of the tailgate for me was Anni's Mom bringing over steamed clams to share. They were delicious and brought back memories of being raised on Baltimore, Maryland seafood. You do know Anni hit a dinger in the game so maybe they could bring more clams for every game - just saying clams/dinger/win may be more than a coincidence. Worth a shot, right? Want to thank my friends Hutch and Johnny for the help before during and after the tailgate, @Hokie-2x and his mrs for binging mrs laphroaig over, everyone who attended and the parents who welcomed us to share their ritual Fireball Cheer. Admit I had a double-shot of Fireball only because mrs laphroaig doesn't drink so I was pinch hitting for her and batting for myself at the same time. The whole day went very well. Lotta work but friendship is worth all that effort. Hokie Nation and TSL at its best. Oh! Did I mention we took the series from Clemson.
