No blame here, just the reality coach's rhetoric pre-season was wishful thinking. He's very lucky that Carrico sort of came out of nowhere as she has. One never knows who's going be effective until they are (there are many great bullpen pitchers!). Right now he has two reliable arms. Teams have won natty's with two (even one). The only other candidate is Layton.
