If you just looked at the game statistics you may have concluded that VT

won the game. VT had more hits, received more base on balls and had fewer errors in the field. One difference was Duke bunched their hits which created runs while VT hits were spread out. But maybe the biggest reason was those two double plays where they were tailor made, ball hit perfectly and not our fastest runner batting. Yesterday was the perfect storm, things are not as bad as they seem.
