UCLA Regional will have Courtney Lyle and Danielle Lawrie on the call
Per ESPN, Courtney Lyle is a play-by-play commentator for ESPN and SEC Network for a number of college sports, including volleyball, basketball and softball. She returned to ESPN after serving as an event production intern in 2010 and 2011.
Lyle graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Electronic Media. She currently resides in Knoxville.
Lawrie is a 2008 Olympian and member of the Canadian National team, as well as a 2009 Women’s College World Series champion with the University of Washington. She had one of the most remarkable seasons in NCAA history when she went 38-7 with a 0.84 ERA and 477 strikeouts in 315 innings. During that year, she pitched 12 consecutive complete games in the last three weeks of the season, starting and finishing every game for the Huskies during the regionals, super regionals and College World Series. She threw 395 pitches and two complete games in one day, including a 15-inning game in which she struck out 24 batters.
Lawrie has also played professionally for USSSA Pride and the Canadian Wild
