It adds actual numbers and context? The original post was talking about

bunting and sacrifice bunting. You provided a number for bunt hits so I went and found sacrifice bunts b/c I was curious and it was related to the discussion. Based on the stats it's hard to say if he was "proficient" at bunting because he obviously didn't do it very often. He might have been good at it but he was obviously better at hitting which is kind of the point of the whole tangent. Is asking your better hitters to bunt a good call based on the situation or are you better off letting them swing away?

Lol. You want your #3 hitter to BUNT in the first inning. Again, LOL.

The way we've been hitting lately, it's a pretty good strategy. Small ball

Lol! You would rather have runners on first and second with one out,

As a pitcher's Dad I was always happy to see the sac bunt.

This is the definition of hindsight and playing "What if". We got runners

Aren't you assuming our bunts work at a far greater than average rate?

Surprised to hear the word bunt so many times from a guy who calls himself

Can we say that bunting and therefore sacrificing an out scores less...

Yes, sacrificing may score less, as you are giving up a precious out, but
