Pete knew Whit from working as an assistant coach at Missouri.

This is Pete’s second head coaching job and it’s fair to say that he and Whit get along fairly well. When space opened up in the Lane Stadium complex Whit gave it to softball for a player’s lounge. Pete has been one of Whit’s better hires by far.
