This is an independent site so people can be open with their comments ....

instead of always putting the most positive spin on everything, as a university sanctioned site might do. Parents are a unique group and most are not long time Hokie fans as many of us are. They are fans of their kids and often their kid's teammates. And they are understandably sensitive to any player critique. Our critiques are never intended to be personal but on performance. People can differ in their assessment of performance. I don't think we should have to be concerned about hurting parent's feelings when commenting on this site. We should be fair and reasonably mannered. If someone says something deemed unfair they will get plenty of pushback from other commenters. That's what message boards are often about.
