I’m sure they tried her in practice too.

Chatfield played third base in high school with Rohs playing shortstop at the same school. From talking to several players just prior to the start of the 24 season those players said LeGette would play first. Something obviously changed the coaches minds about that and Chatfield has been at first base since.
