Class of 2026 Summary Posts Anna Bardeen Anna is from Woodstock, Georgia and attends Kell High School. The state of Georgia plays softball in the fall, so Anna just completed her senior year, rewriting her school record book for both career home runs and career RBIs while helping Kell to a state runner-up finish. Extra Innings ranked her as the #36 recruit in her class, noting that "she has a powerful bat from the left side with gap-to-gap power and can send a ball over the fence with regularity. Anna has a fluid swing that launches balls to all fields." Anna typically plays first and third base and her travel ball coach noted "she has exceptionally quick hands and dazzling footwork, which helps her make plays that most first basemen struggle with. On the other corner, Anna is also an aggressive third baseman with a strong arm." Angelina Eakman Angelina is a right handed pitcher from Mercer, PA. Her three year stats at Mercer are impressive: 545 strikeouts in 259.2 innings while limiting opponents toa .130 batting average. At the plate, she has a .512 career batting average with 25 home runs in 52 games. Line Drive Media has her at #21 in their Hot 100 player rankings and describes her as “is a big and strong athlete who has touched 70 mph on the radar gun but constantly throws 68-to-69 mph in games.” They quote a travel ball coach as noting that “she also has an exceptional bat and is definitely a 5-tool player.” Softball America has her ranked 43rd in their class of 2026 recruiting rankings. Mylie McCoy Mylie is from Virginia Beach who plays for Floyd Kellam High School. She is a three sport athlete who also plays basketball and volleyball. Mylie is a left-handed power-hitting outfielder who has excellent speed (a 2.34 Home to 1st time). She has also pitched when needed and, as a sophomore, she was named 1st Team All-State and Offensive Player of the Year at Atlantic Shores Christian after hitting .465 with a .627 on-base percentage with six home runs, 27 RBIs, and a perfect 18/18 in stolen bases. In the circle, she threw 79 innings and struck out 133. Extra Innings ranked her as the #27 player in their 2026 Elite 100 Rankings. Mylie is now playing for Starz Gold in Travel Ball and has had an outstanding fall season. Ryleigh Perks Ryleigh is an infielder from Douglas Freeman High School in Richmond, VA. Per Max Preps, her career high school stats (55 games) include a batting average of .529 and an on-base percentage of .608, to go along with 14 home runs and 76 RBIs. In Travel Ball, Ryleigh plays travel ball for Starz Gold, which has sent numerous players to VT. In October, she was named to the Ray Seymour Invitational 18U All-Tournament Team. Ryleigh usually plays shortstop and has an exceptionally strong arm. She won the Alliance Fast Pitch throwing competition and they recently reported that she has exceeded 77 MPH in her overhead velocity. In March, 2022, Extra Innings ranked #35 in their Extra Elite Top 100 Player Rankings. Last year, Line Drive Media ranked her as the #40 player in the Northeast. In an interview with Line Drive Media earlier this year, Ryleigh said this about choosing Virginia Tech: “I’ve been to camps at VT since I was about 9 years old and feel like I’ve known Coach D’Amour just about forever. I love all the Tech coaches and how they interact with their players. I’ve watched VT softball forever and love how close the team is and how positive their dynamic is. I also loved the VT campus, facilities and the area it’s in. Also, getting to go to any VT football game is just awesome; the energy is just another level.” Grace Swedarsky Grace is a right-handed pitcher who attends Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana. She helped the Royals win the state championship in 2024 and was named a second team All-American by Max Preps. Her career high school stats include a 1.24 ERA and 709 strikeouts in 367 innings pitched. She averages one walk every 5.7 innings and has a strikeout to walk ratio of 1:11.07. She was ranked #24 in the Class of 2027 by Perfect Game last year and #27 by Line Drive Media last month. She played travel ball for the Indiana Magic before switching to the Louisville Lady Sluggers Huecker-Norwood this summer. Extra Innings quoted one of her travel coaches as saying “her fastball …has a ton of natural movement and spin and she complements that with a drop curve, riseball and off-speed combination that keeps hitters guessing….one of Grace’s unique traits–it’s cliché, but she has ice water in her veins. No moment is too big, and she has supreme confidence in her ability to get batters out.” Tegan Tripp Tegan is a corner infielder who attends Lake Central High School in St Johns, Indiana. Last year was her first full varsity season and she made the most of it, hitting .379 and having an on-base percentage of .489. Her slugging pct of .803 included six home runs and 30 RBIs. Tegan has played travel ball with the Illinois Chill where she has batted .426 and .340, respectfully, the last two summers. Her travel ball coach notes that “the ball screams when she hits it, thanks to her exit velo in the low 80’s.” He also notes that she is difficult to strike out and “has exceptional arm strength.” Those attributes led Line Drive Media to list her at #78 in thie Class of 2026 Hot 100. Tegan told Line Drive that Virginia Tech was her “dream school” and that she chose the Hokies “because of the great coaches. They prioritize progressing all of their athletes into better players and people in the four years that they get to spend there. The campus felt like home the minute I got there. There is a great environment at Virginia Tech and you are surrounded by so many amazing people. She called Cori McMillan her ”sports hero” because “she finished her last year with a bang.” Teagan’s goal “is to accomplish what she (Cori) did and more throughout my collegiate career.”
