Except that it is our end goal at least according to our coach. He even has

practices or sessions where hitting home runs is all we try to do. He teaches a slight upper cut swing in order to get the ball in the air because that is the only way to get it out of the park. The problem is that if that is the way you swing every time you are more likely to pop up or routine fly it to the outfield if you don't barrel it up. Sometimes you must alter your swing based on the game situation which we saw the LSU hitters do time after time.
