what the true causes are and it could be any one of a number of things, some of which have been mentioned in this thread. Pete's teams over the years have had identities which in most cases is a good thing that breeds confidence to execute. The commonalities in the losses may just be coincidence but, they may also be indicative of a failure to learn from past mistakes and correct/adapt. I have similar concerns with hitting against off speed pitching. Hopefully both situations are coincidence and, if not, they find some answers/adaptations to prevent future opponents from exploiting the tendencies to their advantage
