was ACC Player of the Week and National Player of the Week when she hit two grand slams on one day. She was on pace to hit 30 dingers that season. She was hitting the ball very well. Shortly after that awesome accomplishment she was hit by a pitch on the wrist and sat out the rest of the season. We made two bats for a couple fans commemorating that two grand slam day. I've told Rachel she has special powers. Two grand slams on one day, then she was involved in the Triple Play last season, three home runs on one day yesterday (one the game-winner vs PSU wasn't it?). She's in the "history book" of VT softball. Rachel doesn't realize it yet but she will be signing bat #12 for me when she signs this season's "senior bat" that we're donating to the softball auction. Two grand slam bats, last year's senior bat (because it was her senior season with her recruiting class and we didn't know if she was coming back), 8 triple play bats, and this year's senior bat as a super senior = 12 bats. More bats than any other player.
