Was thinking (for me that can be a dangerous thing but hear me out).

When Mazz is warming up in the bullpen, would it help if a batter was standing in the box? Maybe even have a left hander and right hander at the same time to get her to focus more around the plate. I know you don't want pitchers to "aim" the ball but maybe two batters there will help Mazz narrow down her pitches. Ok that's my weird thought for today. Y'all carry on.

Crazy how well things can go when you don't issue many free passes**
Diehard Hokie 02/23/26 07:55 AM ET
Need to limit free passes (BB + HBP) to 3 or fewer per seven innings.**

I don't tend to worry about 1 walk any inning if there's nobody else on

You'll find very few successful D1 pitchers averaging a walk . . .

Don't need a batter. Every team has simulated batters (plastic players) . .
