Actually, they consider the three easiest regionals to be #1, #15, and #11

16. Texas A&M (#1 seed) - "The Aggies got a regional that a top overall seed should probably get" 15. Oregon (#15 seed) - "The Ducks were a surprise host based on the metrics. However, Oregon’s regional might be even more shocking" 14. Clemson (#11 seed) - Clemson hosts two teams that were part of the last group in the field. Kentucky has struggled the second half of the season, and if the Wildcats weren’t an SEC team, they probably wouldn’t be in the tournament. Northwestern is the lowest RPI at-large to make the field in the past four tournaments.
