John Rittman was very successful at Stanford for almost 2 decades...

He had 2.5 years to get the Clemson softball program going before its first game. Rittman also has expereince with taking teams to the College Softball World Series and was a coach on the USA softball team. He was fortunate to have Valerie Cagle decommit from Delaware (after her coach was fired) and sign with Clemson. Like Chip said, Clemson has top notch softball facilities.
