Just for your information I had to change my original username because some woke individual was "offended" by it. The name "Italian Stallion" was not a name I called myself but rather a name my friends called me during high school and my time at Virginia Tech. Now on to the meat of your post. I never said that the strategy I suggested should be used all of the time or every time. I merely pointed out that we use it none of the time and we had 4 different opportunities in yesterday's game where it most probably would have resulted in runs scored. This is important when you have a team struggling to score and you are in a one or two run game. If you are averse to the term "bunt" and it is too effeminate for you perhaps the more manly term "advance the runners" would be more appropriate. It's just that bunting is just one way and probably the easiest or most popular way to advance the runners. After all, this is women's softball so using the term bunt, which according to you is effeminate, should not be a problem. I contend that if you are not "good at bunting" or "bunting is not your strong point" it is because you don't practice it and thus never use it. I feel we are missing out on some runs while we wait for the three run bomb that may never come.
