Well, remember as of last week only 14 D1 pitchers were averaging . . .

. . . more pitches/batter faced. That's out of several hundred. This is not a new problem. She's always pitched on the edge. She may 'overcome' it but there's little sign that the coaching staff has found anything to actually get her throwing more strikes. The evidence is her 'waste' pitches. When she does get ahead she often still ends up with a high pitch count as she does not seem to be able to throw one ball off the plate. Her misses are usually big misses.
