You will on occasion (at least in high school)

See one pitcher as the flex and the other as the DP. This basically allows the coach to swap them back and forth an unlimited number of times because neither is leaving the lineup.

If you’ve flexed the pitcher then the DP can become the flex (pitcher) at

A pitcher can re-enter once as a pitcher.

I believe she can only sub once. It would have to be a different pitcher
