Feelings

You make some valid points for sure. But..... Consider Softball America did not even mention the Hokies in their preseason evaluation of the ACC. Consider Lemly was recruited and 'signed' by the Hokies, not the Cavs. A Freshman star pitcher, a star slugging freshman 3rd baseman, where are the 'star' Freshman on the Hoos roster? Consider going from 4th to first, is a lot harder than surpassing the ACC softball 'bottom feeders'. Consider the Hokies NUMBER ONE OOC schedule to the 'pitty pat feel good, scratch and crawl your way OOC victories of the Hoos. You are right, feelings, not rankings and actual accomplishments, will have a lot do with an ACC Coach of the year vote.
