She has been on team for a year, it is not overnight fix. She has to drag

her foot. It takes time to correct it, but again she and pitching coach had many months to fix it. I used to pitch and had slight crow hop too, but my coach recognized what I was doing and we were able to fix it. Coach forced me to drag my right foot every pitch during practice until I got used to it. Dragging my foot actually improved my pitching, had more control and increased my strikeouts. This is on Emma and the coaches to fix, because it will not go away. Don't blame the umpires, they were doing their job. Other coaches and umpires are aware of it now.

Lemley has always had that issue. Most don't call it.

Just “fix” her pitching motion?

It's not easy to fix but can be. She will likely lose a couple mph . . .

Ehh…do you call holding on every play in football? It’s the exact same deal
HolidayInnHokie 04/10/22 02:27 PM ET
Huge difference in that the spotlight is on the pitcher, so everyone will
RoJoHokie 04/10/22 02:30 PM ET
Right, not even close the same deal. **

Good for you. If it’s not consistently called, then why change delivery?
RVAHokie05 04/10/22 02:26 PM ET
Exactly- it’s not easy and could ruin her**

It is not an easy fix but she may have to fix it
