any type of situation where you have 1 game to win facing a team you haven't seen yet. I think we adjust well from game to game but have some difficulties making the adjustments in game. I've always said hitting is contagious and is about 80% confidence and only 20% skill. The ability to crush? Those percentages change. I do think sometimes we allow an umpire to get in our heads, Ridiculous ball and strike calls really messes with us and we don't adjust well. We get frustrated and believe we have to swing at stuff outside the zone rather than giving the umpire the benefit of the doubt and forgiving it as a one off. We seem to treat the 1st bad call as an "Oh God. It's gonna be like this all night" type situation. I would also like to see us stop dropping our bats or tossing them and jogging to 1st on a close ball four. You are just inviting the ump to call a strike. They don't like you getting ahead of their call. Regardless, I like where we are. Mazz has cut down on the total number of walks. Still need to cut down on the situational walks. Bree is still "Bree-zin" (Yeah, that's my term and I kinda like it). Loved seeing her emotion yesterday. It's been a fun year and I hope it continues for a long long time.
