Of course, many reactions are to "after the fact" outcomes. But no one here as ever said you should never run. There are clear situations where we should not have run. Last year, there was as tag up from third on a shallow catch by an outfielder not too far past short stop. It was going to be a clear out even if you gamble on making the catcher tag you. It was a clear poor decision to send the runner. Actually, in one inning in the 5-2 loss to Duke, I think we held a runner at 3rd (might have been either Mizelle or Mazzarone). She might have scored, but the result ended up with loaded bases and one out. So, in and of itself, it was the right decision. But the next batters got out....so you could argue that being safe cost us a run. Most situations are "after the fact" so anyone can be right or wrong. However, there have been clear "why did you send the runner? situations where they were going to be out alot, even if you think a player at third should just break for the bag on contact even if the hit goes to the infield It also helps that had Rohs been tagged out at the plate, it was bang-bang, we already scored two runs, and we had a lead. The reaction to that out would be far different than being behind in a close game in which every opportunity counts and IF it was obviously bad, it is worth of critique, But no one says things are unacceptably as a blanket statement.
