You give Mazz the ball and tell her to go out and throw strikes.

Have Carrico waiting if things start going south. Make sure you are calling favorable pitches for Mazz to get her confidence up. He also needs to sit the team down and ask them if they want to be great or just good. Challenge them to go out tomorrow and run them off the field and make it known that the first 2 performances will not be what defines this team.
