talked a bunch with him and actually VTChip at the ACC tourney down in Duke this past year. I would say just a few things. He's really good for recruiting as he knows everyone, you will likely not have practices unless his assistants do it, he is very, very knowledgeable. You and your child will not be coddled. It's not a sleek organization like some but the college coaches really pay attention to this team. My kid got recruited as a 5 ft tall kid playing out of position only because they saw her playing for them and from the input from Tom. So, it depends on what you are looking for, but I don't know that you can go wrong.
