As I said before, PE most likely requires a new longer GoR. Not all B12 schools want to be stuck.
Even for the name change, Yormark doesn't seem to have enough votes.
The B12 is not as united as you may think.

Yes the ACC could lose some schools. but what if the 4 Corners come to the ACC? We know Utah is not happy, we know that Colorado could see Deion go to the NFL or a bigger football school. Maybe the 4 Corners want to be back with Stanford and Cal. It sure would be way better for those 6 schools for Olympic Sports.
I just don't get why some on this board can't see the reduction in exit fees in the ACC was very likely ESPN saying if you lose schools, we will back you to get other schools. We have already paid and are getting paid for the ACCN, why couldn't it go that way too? That just seems way more likely to me.

If they can keep the numbers competitve for the "brand' schools, and maybe even be agressive and poach some schools from the Big 12 WVU, Arizona, Arizona state, Colorado and Utah. and even Kansas and kansas state, they might be able to be the P3

I do understand after they were not even invited to the false alliance why he is skeptical. That said, I thought the two conferences saying they are working together might give them more leverage than going it alone. It's still very interesting that neither the ACC or B12 Commissioners were on the Smash Capital calls. Why do you think they were not on the calls?

the faith that certain ACC members have in Jim Phillips' ability to steer the conference out of the current mess it's clearly in.
I will also speculate that the commissioners weren't included because the plan, as I understand it, would likely put them out of a job, or, at the very least, greatly diminish their importance and influence. So, of course they're not going to like it, and, accordingly, their input wouldn't matter for much in the grand scheme.

Frankly, I can't think of a single battle he's won, nor a single positive thing he's done. His entire tenure has been running around in a panic sounding and acting like a weakling and making things worse.

Now if he and ND pull off the 70 teams with no Conferences that would keep college football national, even I would have to admit, that would be quite the coup. However, as good as ND is at negotiating, don’t underestimate the Power Ego 2!!
